Default New Store - Files Missing or In Wrong Folder

I'm getting the following messages in my cpanel error log:

File does not exist: /home/artprint/public_html/404.shtml
File does not exist: /home/artprint/public_html/favicon.ico
File does not exist: /home/artprint/public_html/links.php
script not found or unable to stat: /home/artprint/public_html/product_info.php
script not found or unable to stat: /home/artprint/public_html/product_reviews_write.php

I can see the files product_info.php and product_reviews_write.php in the following folder:

/ public_html / includes / languages / english /

Are these in the wrong folder for some reason?

Also-->

After logging into the admin panel, I navigate to Modules > Order Total, and under Order Total Modules heading I see:

Warning: main(/home/artprint/public_html/includes/languages/english/modules/order_total/ot_gv_old.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/artprint/public_html/admin/modules.php on line 188

Warning: main(/home/artprint/public_html/includes/languages/english/modules/order_total/ot_gv_old.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/artprint/public_html/admin/modules.php on line 188

Warning: main(): Failed opening '/home/artprint/public_html/includes/languages/english/modules/order_total/ot_gv_old.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/artprint/public_html/admin/modules.php on line 188

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class ot_gv in /home/artprint/public_html/includes/modules/order_total/ot_gv_old.php on line 10

I see ot_gv.php in the following folder:

/ public_html / includes / languages / english / modules / order_total /

There is no ot_gv_old.php as far as I can tell.

Any thoughts?

I suspect however, that if you look in includes/modules/order_total you will find an ot_gv_old.php file. I suspect that the way order_total modules work is that if you pop a file in the modules/order_total directory, Zen Cart will go looking for an equivalent languages file to partner it.

In your case I suspect that somebody has tweaked the includes/modules/order_total/ot_gv.php file and created a copy of the original file with the name ot_gv_old.php in case they want to go back to it. Zen Cart however, believes that it is a new order total mod and looks but fails to find its associated language file.

Solution: move includes/modules/order_total/ot_gv_old.php out of your Zen Cart

OK

I went to the folder:
/ public_html / includes / modules / order_total /

found both ot_gv.php and ot_gv_old.php .

Tried renaming either and both but just got more error messages. But when I removed both files from Zen Cart the error messages went away.

Put ot_gv.php back. It's supposed to be there.

As explained above, the existance of a file in modules/order_total implies to Zen Cart that there will be a file with the same name in languages/modules/order_total and if it can't find it, it will throw a PHP error. Re-naming the files in modules/order_total just changes the name of the file that Zen Cart will search unsuccessfully for in languages/modules/order_total

However, ot_gv.php is supposed to be there and so you will find that there is also a languages/modules/order_total/ot_gv.php

Just a note for the pack rats out there who want to save their changes.
When you want to save changes to a file "just in case" the first choice is safely away from your cart. The second choice is to just change the php extension to bak (some editors automatically do that) or your initials. The system will not attempt to process the file as it did the one above and, if you have a problem, you can easily back out of it by finding all the files with that extension.
A little help with colors.
