Simple Zen Template - Support Thread

first off...i would like to thank you Jettrue for all your hard work...template is amazing!

I have been combing the threads looking for a way to simply put a background image in the entire background of the site..
along with uploading the actual jpg onto the server....I'm assuming I need to put this code

{background-image:url(images/crankedclothing.jpg);

background-repeat:repeat-y;

background-position:center top;

background-attachment:fixed}

somewhere in the stylesheet_new.css file?

If it for the entire site, you just put it in the body tag in the css.

hmm...doesnt seem to work..
do I need to put the background image in the image section of the simple_zen folder? subsequently changing the path in the .css to match it?

You will want to have the correct relative address for your .jpg though . Put the image in your template's /images/ directory and use ../images/YOUR_IMAGE.jpg

I'm using the SZ template and I am trying to find out how to remove the red bar and search box at the top and center my logo there also how do I change the black border? I need a lighter color.

Could you have a *BIT* more patience? You can't expect free responses in less than 16 hours. I do have a life outside of this bulletin board. If you plan on continuing being rude, please do ask help outside of this thread, because I won't answer.

To center your logo and get rid of the second logo you added, you need to change logoWrapper to this:

#logoWrapper {
margin:0 auto;
text-align: center;

}

The logo is already on the page, you added the logo.gif to the css as well. That's why its showing up twice!

You said want the home and login on top of the logo (not easily done), INSTEAD I would make the background of #navMainWrapper black (#000000), so it "looks" like its part of your logo. Then you could have less black at the top of the logo, so it would even more look like the home and login are sitting on top of the logo. I'd make the background of #logoWrapper black as well. You can turn of the header search in your admin, under "Tools", "Layout Boxes Controller".

You can change the grey border of the site here:
