    Default trouble changing logo.

    Hello,

I've attempted to change the default logo.gif to a .jpg that I created and I get this: http://www.shoyuconcepts.com

    http://shoyuconcepts.com/includes/te...mages/logo.jpg

I look in my web directory and I see the .jpg in there. So I've searched the forums and maybe I'm not used to the lingo here yet but I've had no luck. I tried to switch the logo back to the .gif and I upload a modified .gif and I get this:

    http://shoyuconcepts.com/includes/te...mages/logo.gif

I have ZCv1.3 installed from Fantastico scripts via CPanel:

    Operating system Linux
    Kernel version 2.6.15-1.1833_FC4
    Machine Type i686
    Apache version 1.3.36 (Unix)
    PERL version 5.8.7
    PHP version 5.1.4
    MySQL version 4.1.21-standard
    cPanel Build 10.8.2-EDGE 113
    Theme cPanel X v2.5.0

We'll talk about the messed up Future Zen Theme after I get this logo thing straighted out.

Firefox reports two broken images... both of which you are having problems with. I'm lead to believe that your graphics program isn't saving properly. Your images do not open via three of my graphic programs. I'm suggesting this might be the cause, because your images either don't work or aren't showing properly when I view the actual images online.

While editing your virtual HTML, I called upon a different image source and replaced the logo image(with another from your image folder) and it showed up fine.

    According to the FAQ:

If you have made a custom template directory or want to change the logo's image format, go to includes/languages/english/classic/header.php

Make a copy of that file. Edit the image name for your logo, make changes in the "sales message text". Save the file. FTP a new directory(name the directory the same as the template you are using) to includes/languages/english/ and then upload your new header.php to the new directory.

Do you think that I'm doing something wrong with my FTP? The images look fine on my local machine.

This is what I did and the images don't seem to be coming up correctly.

You have a valid lead there. I didn't think of that... maybe double check the transferring mode of your FTP. I just looked at my FTP settings and it's on Binary Transfer Type. I've been uploading images and files with it for the past three hours, everything is working for me.

You're welcome, but you were on the right track already. I can see the images now, I'm glad it's fixed.
