Question about COD Fee and DHL Shipping module

The Orders Total COD Fee does not have every shipping module as part of it ...

If you edit the file:
/includes/modules/order_total/ot_cod_fee.php

You can follow the pattern to:
MODULE_ORDER_TOTAL_COD_FEE_USPS

And add-on any shipping method not covered ...

NOTE: be sure to do a Remove/Install to see any changes that you make ...

thank you very much for the help. it took a little tweaking to get it to work just right, but it's up and running now.

I kept getting an error that said 1062 duplicate entry, so i had to go into the zen_configuration table of the db and find the entry and delete it, then it worked just fine.

What about the normal Cash on Demand module? It may have extra costs for the shipper as well.

The Situation is this:

a) a customer can order a shipping by post but pay immediately the product with a credit card or with a bank payment module (money instantly from the account transferred).
b) a customer can order a shipping by post but pay inly when receiving the package in the post office. Post office takes extra fee from the shop keeper from that service.

So, in both cases the customer uses shipping BY POST but in the case b) he needs to be charged of COD fee as well. So, he would need to know by the law what is the total price when confirming his order. Thus, I would need to add it somehow for the price ONLY in the case he pays via COD using Post Office, not when paying otherway and using post as well.

That's exactly how it works, yes.

If your shipping module isn't one that comes with Zen Cart, then you'll have to write custom code into the existing ot_cod_fee.php module in order for it to connect COD fees with to your selected shipping method, as Ajeh mentioned in her post.
