How do I activate checkout / shopping cart?

I apologize in advance for what is probably a very basic problem, but I just cannot figure it out.

I installed zencart on my site (http://greatbeast.com/shop/) and I followed all the instructions for setting up paypal payment. But I still don't see any way to actually purchase, checkout or add to shopping cart.

I have not installed an SSL cert yet because I understand that it's not mandatory (though I will add it anyway after everything else is working).

Please help...

your store is in showcase mode. go to admin >configuration>store status and edit to normal store.
