Header Nav + User Name?

Is there a way to make it so that when someone logs in their name apears in the header instead of the main content? and where do you go to edit the order in which the header navigation apears. Like "Home" then "Log In" then...

Okay I checked out that link but it's not really helpfull for what I wan't to do. What I want is that when someone logs in there name apears where "log in" was once. I also wan't to remove Home from the header and place that link at the top of the catagories side box.

I tried searching for this and there is lots on which files to manipulate but not much on exactly how to manipulate them. I would asume that I just need to swap some code but my efforts on that havn't worked. I'm using 1.3.0.2

Small suggestions, in the use of search you can search by keywords.
And you can also search combined with the member's name of the forum.
e.g.
If you input the keywords "Header" and "bunyip" (the user name of our fellow member) into the User Name field of the search. This can narrow down the result and another reason is bunyip famous for the "header". He has mods and answered many questions about "header".

Then one of the result you can find.
