not receiving mail from contact us

I am not receving any email from contact us after upgrading and switching hosts. The contact us page says a message was sent succcssfully, but I never receive it and it is not in my spam folder. However, I do receive order confirmations and am to send emails out in admin. My dropdown seems to be formatted correctly:

general <[email protected]>, customer service <[email protected]>, wholesale inquiries <[email protected]>, press <[email protected]>

Anyone have any ideas?

ok..got it to work by changing some options in the email configuration. apparently, emails must be sent from known domain option must be set to true for emails to be sent to me from my website.

I'm having the same problem with ver 138a and I have tried all the things you have suggested with no results other then it says now it was sent but I am not getting the emails
