Hey there,

I am trying to path some custom images into the header_tpl.php file.

I realised i was using absolute paths from the header_tpl.php for the graphics

is there an easy way to create the relative paths or is the only course of action to create another set of variables in the header.php file to draw from?

Yup.

Basically you need to create another set of variables for each image you want to insert then use the code that generates the logo and replace the HEADER_LOGO with your variable graphic

If I understand what you have said...

The simple method is to place your images in your template_name/images file that are the same file type and same file name as the default ones. These will then be used in place of the default images.

Look in the /includes/templates/template_default/images folder for the default images and place you logo.gif and other images in the /includes/templates/your_template/images folder

Additional images can be indicated by url (../images/filename)

yeah that is if you are just replacing images that are already coded into ZC.

the images in the top right corner (once i have changed the link code) are new images introduced into the ZC system and link back to the main part of the company website.

This does not ask for links but only additional images. As you have found out, links are handled differently
