Free Shipping Options Configuration #197

It's quite possible that the Free Shipping Option does NOT do what I thought. It seems that it should. However, after much searching I've yet to be able to confirm it.
Wouldn't the following configuration result in free shipping for orders totaling between €19.99 and €100.01?

Instead it seems to result in orders ABOVE €100.01 being shipped free. I tried reversing it but to no avail.
My main shipping configuration is a Flat Rate and Zone Rate. In Shipping/Packaging I have 'Order Free Shipping Zero Weight Status' set to 0 and in Order Total Modules Shipping is set to 'Allow Free Shipping - False'.

Ohhh my aching head! To sum up: Is it possible that some configuration would result in free shipping for orders totaling between €19.99 and €100.01?

Seriously, thanks for ANY comments for suggestions that would either resolve this issue or otherwise put me out of my misery.

Was this a clean install or an upgrade?

If an upgrade, what version did you upgrade from and how?

v1.3.0 [2006-04-14 06:52:45] (Fresh Installation)

I have un-installed the Free Shipping Options and re-installed, as well but to no avail. The end result is always the same - Free shipping OVER 100.01.

This setting should generate free shipping between these numbers, correct?:
Total >=
19.99

Total <=
100.01

An update - of sorts.
If I add the currency sign (the Euro, in my case) to the equation, it generates free shipping all the time, regardless of the setting.

Total >=
€19.99

Total <=
€100.01

Probably unimportant but most of what I do in this arena is based on guessing, so who knows.

That is because the currency symbol just set the values to 0

Update to v1.3.0.2 ... If I am not mistaken there was an update to the Free Shipping Options ...

There is also another one coming out for some really obscure pricing criteria in the next release ...

The fix in v1.3.0.2 should correct the problem you are having ...

I got it - "How do I upgrade my site?" in the FAQ

If you are v1.3.0.1, you can download the Changed Zen Cart v1.3.0.2 ...

If you are any other version, you need to download the Full Zen Cart v1.3.0.2 ...

Backup your database and site ...

I make a test directory such as /new_shop and a test database with a copy of my live site database ...

Copy your full live site to the /new_shop

Edit the 2 configure.php files in:
/new_shop/includes/configure.php
/new_shop/admin/includes/configure.php

To reflect the new path to /new_shop and the new database name, username and password ...

Copy all the files from the correct v1.3.0.2 download to the /new_shop

Run the /zc_install and UPGRADE the database table ...

Now test everything ...

Test everything again ... you missed stuff ...

If all is working perfectly ...

Set the Live Shop to Down for Maintenance ...

Backup the Live Shop database and on the /new_shop database drop all the tables and reload the copy of the current Live Shop Database ...

Again, run the /zc_install and UPGRADE the database ...

Test everything ...

Test everything again like you mean it ...

If all is perfect ...

Edit the 2 /new_shop configure.php files to use the paths to the Live Shop ... do NOT change the database info ... you are now using your new database and saving the old database in case of problems ...

Rename the Live Shop directory to /old_shop or move all the files to a directory called /old_shop

Rename /new_shop to the Live Shop directory or move to the root depending on where it belongs ...

NOTE: Don't forget to move the /images directory into the NEW Live Shop directory

Test test test ...

If all is good ...

Take your new Live Shop off of Down for Maintenance ...
