I believe that the problem being referred to by Willy12 is in relation to 'enlarging' the image once opened in the Lightbox.

Say a visitor wanted to see more detail in the image so using 'pinch' they enlarge the lightbox to see a bigger image, in doing so the lightbox does disappear to the right off the screen (on Android too) and cannot be moved around - or closed as the 'close' button is off the screen.

Right.. and this was not very clear from the original post.. It was stated that this was resolved in the latest version of ZLB.

Because the issue being reported wasn't clear, and I was answering in a hurry, I mistakenly agreed with this. The issue is resolved with the Colorbox module. As it turns out the issue of ZLB NOT behaving responsively on mobile devices was not fully resolved. It is resolved in a yet to be released version of Zen Colorbox (NOT the one that is currently in the downloads section)

The discussion of there being more code rather than less, why of course... That is the way of developing functionality, I don't know why anything else would be expected. Surprisingly it is the small amount of code changes that can give such a large difference.

I understand how developing functionality works.. However, this is actually NOT the question I asked.. Rather I inquired about why more coding was needed if the problem was in fact resolved. As I JUST indicated, the problem is NOT resolved in full with ZLB..
