adding another defined page to the information box?

Is there a simple way to add another defined page to the information box?

I did find this thread in the archives " How To - Add Additional Pages Into "define" http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14985

when i started reading it it seems like it was based off an older version of zencart
and the file below no longer seems to be in the download section.

"extra blank pages" by NetworkDad (link is here) this saves you lots of time.

anyways is there a easier way to add a few pages or should i just start reading all 17 pages of that thread ?

If you have a link you want to add to the box, simply add it as described in the "extra links sidebox" contribution readme (other contributions like About Us are similar).

nutshell:
/includes/modules/sideboxes/YOURTEMPLATE/information.php

There are several $content .= blahblahblah lines

Add yours to the list in the order desired. You don't need the IF statement logic surrounding them if you don't have any switches added to the database to manage them (yes, that's another topic altogether).

basically i'm using that box for instructions . I just want to add one or two more pages so i can add instructions for other items .

It seems you're already using the EZ-Pages sidebox for "Instructions" links.

Since you indicated that these extra links you're considering are related to "instructions", why not simply continue with your extra links?

ummm no I've never touched ezpages nor really know what they are .

yesterday i just changed the title of the information to instructions , changed the title of the defined pages from "page2,3,4" to what i needed and then started adding my instructions via the define pages editor

Yes, I see, you simply renamed the page_2, page_3, page_4 options from the default more_information sidebox.


You can access EZ-Pages in Admin->Tools->EZ-Pages
There, you can create numerous pages and have them show up automatically in the EZ-Pages Sidebox (Tools->Layout Boxes Controller to enable it).
Just give it a title, say "yes" to sidebox and give a sort order, and fill in your content.

But How do I get them to show up in the Information Sidebox instead of the EX pages sidebox?
