Create another DB for 13.5 upgrade?

Searched the forum, couldn't find anything on creating another database.

I want to upgrade from 1.3.0.1 to 1.3.5.

I have copied my current Store, to a new folder.

Now can someone help me with changing the database?

My current store has no customers and just a few test products. Just thought I'd upgrade before I continued, adding Paypal and other customization. Is a whole new database neccessary?

You don't need another data base. Just follow these instructions.

If you are upgrading from Zen Cart v1.3.0.2, the process is simple:
- compare all the changed files with the files on your own site... and re-apply your customizations to the new files
- upload the new files (with your customizations added) to your site
- upload the zc_install folder to your server, and run zc_install/index.php
... select Database Upgrade from the System Inspection screen. Apply the required updates.

The same applies for upgrading from 1.3.0.1

On the Database Setup page I'm getting this error:

Database does not exist
Access denied for user 'mydomain'@'localhost' to database 'zencart'

The database name you have specified does not appear to exist.
(Did you create it? -- NOTE: Zen Cart™ does not create a database for you.).

So how do i create a db?

I'm upgrading from 13.1 to 13.5

You'll need to do that through the administrative panel on your server.

Log into your server and you should see a list of options for managing everything connected with you site.

One of these will be a database manager.

Or contact your provider and see if they can create it for you.
