    "when" did this content disappear?

Have you edited any files? If so, which ones? Can you undo what you did? Did you make backups before proceeding?

If I had to troubleshoot something like that, I'd use these steps:

It was sometime after 11:26 p.m. EST last night--when I got my latest order--and this morning at 8:00 a.m. when I checked the store.

Nothing was changed in the store by me--I was too busy working on the Forums and Gallery--which are not interconnected. I do have backup.

    what's in this file:

    /includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/common/main_template_vars.php

what happens if you rename it to BAD_main_template_vars.BAD ?
(this should force it to use the master ... see below: )

What's in the master version of it? :
    /includes/templates/template_default/common/main_template_vars.php

Dr B I've noticed on occasion when I've been adding links into pages eg links to product pages, that when I copy the link from the browser bar for a page I've browsed to even if I haven't included the session id it mysteriously appears if I go back and look at the page code later. To be honest I haven't pinned the behaviour down exactly but it does happen from time to time.

I'll pay more attention and report back if I have more info.
