Default blank Option Name Manager page, etc

I'm currently working on my first commercial application of ZC, I've been using xcart for quite some time and the plan was to migrate some clients over. Anyway, I'm working with an artist who produces the same painting in several size. Ez enuff but when I click on Option Name Manager, Option Value Manager or Attributes Controller all I see is a blank page. When you "view source" there's nothing there, no header, no nothing?

    Here's my system info...
    Server OS: Linux 2.6.9-5.0.3.ELsmp
    Database: MySQL 4.1.19-standard
    PHP Version: 4.4.2 (Zend: 1.3.0)
    HTTP Server: Apache/1.3.37 (Unix)
    Zen Cart 1.3.0.2
    Database Patch Level: 1.3.0.2

    I did read this page...
    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/faq.ph...cats_and_prods

Any thoughts, I have a meeting with the client this evening.

    Two things:

    1. since you're just getting started, I suggest you grab v1.3.5 and build on it instead ... it'll save you one upgrade step, and you'll not have the bugs that 1.3.0.2 has.

    2. I'd try tackling the blank-page problem by re-uploading the /admin files. Blank pages are often a result of incomplete or corrupt files due to timeouts during FTP uploads.

i saw over at source forge you had a new build, is there an upgrade or just load from scratch? I assume my custom folder won't be overwritten?

files in your custom folders won't be touched, but if you've changed any core/distributed files, they will be replaced.

that said, you STILL need to compare your custom files against the new versions of the master copies of those same files ... and merge any changes into them ... otherwise you'll be missing bugfixes, security fixes, and new features.

tools like WinMerge (winmerge.sf.net) make this pretty quick and easy.
