Default Had to set 'SLL' to False - how do I use Secure Transfers Now??

When I initially installed ZenCart, I chose 'yes' to use SSL.
This was because Im fairly sure my host allows it (1and1).
However, the result was that I could not get access to my Adim pages.
Having gone in an set the SSL in the config file to 'False', the Admin now works.
Does this mean that I cannot carry out secure transactions??
    Anyone, please?

If you will do a search for 1and1 you should find several threads outlining the hosting specific things you need to do to use SSL with 1and1.

Also, when you elected SSL on the install you were electing to set the site up to use a full ssl certificate, and not your hosts shared ssl.

please post your /includes/configure.php and /admin/includes/configure.php file contents here, without password, and we'll see if there's any hint there of a configuration challenge.

You'll find that the 1and1 discussions related to SSL have contained suggestions that have been integrated into the core code for quite some time.

I suppose it's possible that 1and1 have changed some things, but who knows ... they've been consistently different than typical ISP's when it comes to server configurations.

You didn't explain what exactly was happening when it stopped working. You only said that you couldn't get into Admin. You didn't mention error messages, symptoms, details of what's in your server's errorlog at the time of attempting login, etc. You also didn't mention whether it affected the ability of your customers to log in or not.

There are many factors. That's why I asked to see your configure.php files as a starting point.
