How to put coupon code befor shipping?

I have my shipping set up to be free for orders over $70. I also have a coupon for 20% off your total. I need the free shipping discount to be after the coupon code. In other words, you get free shipping if your total is $70 AFTER you use the coupon. Clear as mud? I tried changing the sort order in modules and that didn't work. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I'm trying to figure this one out too, it seems like an obvious thing, that it would just automatically work that way, it's pretty standard that free shipping based on order total is calculated after any coupons/discounts. I didn't even know it didn't work until it happened on an order today!!! If anyone has figured this one out I would be so grateful!
