USPS never sanctioned POSTing to their site as this addon did, it was even a little hacky sending bad info to prompt a form error to work in the first place. It has nothing to do with auto fill tags, they simply no longer accept POST'd data. I've worked out a new module for a client that involves export from ZC to import into ClickNShip Business. Looking for a couple of savvy store owners to beta test and provide feedback. Right now it is single order export domestic only, multi and international to come soon. Side benefit is you can ship USPS First Class without paying a monthly fee. PM if you process several orders a day and have time to test, prefer those familiar with addon experience and basic troubleshooting.

    Hi Ajeh,

I sure hope you find out how to get this to work again. The USPS need all the sales they can get so they should want AutoFill to work. I am quite sure there are other shopping carts dumping into Click-n-Ship. I don't know about others but if we can not get it to work then I will be forced to use FedEx for domestic and only USPS for international. If several thousand AutoFill USPS customers switch to other shipping sources that would make a dent in USPS bottom line.
Another fact the USPS shipping module is of little use without AutoFill, one goes with the other.

I would be very happy to donate a few gallons of coffee in getting this to work and would think others would also. Is there any way to set up a donate fund for this mod?
    Thanks,

    Larry

The only problem I see with dumping CSV to the click n ship business is they don't support the regional boxes?!

We went with XML over CSV for a lot of reasons. Regional Rate boxes are available in CnS Business, you just need to have a device and pay with a permit.
For international orders this new addon will be awesome as it imports all the product details. It's awkward they won't allow domestic and international in the same import file. Looking to release a domestic single-order export free addon and a domestic/international multi-order export paid addon. Those that have PM'd for testing I will be getting back shortly.

There's also the option to use http://www.shipstation.com instead of the USPS CnS website. $25 per month might more than cover the headaches of the CnS Autofill issues.

Sorry this sounds like an infomercial....

You also have the option to utilize Endicia and Express1 interchangeabley to obtain the online rates of CPP and CBP pricing. ShipStation insurance is much less than USPS, you can insure ANY package domestic or international, their insurance claims are paid in a matter of days instead of months.

SS downloads all your zencart orders & details at regular intervals or on-demand.
SS also allows integration with USPS, UPS and Fedex.... all in a single web based application. You choose the carrier and method and print the label. After you enter your UPS and Fedex account numbers within the webapp setup.

www.shippingeasy.com is another and they give you access to the big guy shipping rates (commercial plus). I tired to find out of they had the zen-cart or oscommerce modules ready and they said not yet.

    For what it is worth!
Yesterday evening I was lucky and got a USPS tech support person that seemed to know or trying to be on top of everything with Click-n-Ship and the USPS shipping program. He informed me that they had a subcontractor that wrote most all of both programs and USPS finally took the project over end of last week and have been chasing bugs ever since. He said they have no intention in preventing AutoFill or any other program from dumping into Click-n-Ship and seemed concerned how many customers they would loose to other shipping companys.

I informed him of the problem we are having including (maybe "AutoComplete="off") and he said he personally knows the programer involved with Click-n-Ship and would get with him. He seemed very sincere in getting this resolved on their end so the necessary changes can be made on the ZC side. He said right now they are having problems with USPS shipping not returning rates correctly, Click-n-Ship not processing credit cards correctly. Give them a little time to get the major issue fixed.

Here is something else to think about: You can import & export data into the Click-n-Ship address book. You can use the address book to fill Click-n-Ship all the information. So if that works then how does Click-n-Ship know the difference from data coming from the address book or AutoFill?

Click-n-Ship Business as they now call it, I was under the impression that you have to have a postage meter and thermal printer for that system. How about a little more information on how this would work. Their are many of us that can't support the extra cost like Stamps.com type shipping programs and is why AutoFill is so important.

Autocomplete is for your browser to tell it to not ask if you want to store the username, password, address, etc. It has absolutely nothing to do with why the addon stopped working. The addon POST'ed incomplete data to the USPS site and they accepted it and prompted for problems found. The new site does not accept the POST data and uses ajax for form verification.

ClickNShip Business does require eVC, a permit, or an external print device with metered postage. You can print full USPS labels without postage but then you lose the discount and have to pay at the window.
