As with any mod that was initially done for an older version, check if it overwrites any 1.3.6 files. If yes, you want to check with winmerge to see what the differences are.

Good point. You can also kinda get a quick feel if the core files haven't been updated since well before the most recent version too. Such happens to be the case for USPS.com Contrib.. but who knows what the future stores :)

I installed this contrib with Super Orders, but something doesn't quite make sense to me...

It was looking for a field "total_weight" in the ORDERS file. I added it to ORDERS as Decimal 12,4, and it's working, but I'm wondering WHY I didn't have that...

Is there another contrib I need?

Totalweight is part of the USPS contrib install.

Can you point me to that contrib? And what is it for?

I thought that the USPS "shipping module" was all I needed, and it was already part of ZC 1.3.6... Seemed to be working fine.

I cannot find anything on the contributions area.

    Thanks!

Hmm You seem to have the two confused.

The USPS Shipping module is just for offering shipping to your customers and that does come with the Official Zen-Cart.

USPS AutoFill contrib is an ADMIN utility that I created to allow easy population of the usps.com click-n-ship website to auto populate the customers information. This contrib includes the totalweight function that is used to calculate total weight for automatic filling of the weight on that same click-n-ship page.

This thread is related to that contrib, not to the zencart built-in usps shipping module.

You can DL the contrib from my signature

No, I understand that this thread is for the Autofill contrib, however, I installed the official Zen Cart, and I do not have the field "orders.total_weight", which caused an error in the USPS autofill mods... so I'm wondering Why Not? If it was not created when I installed ZC 1.3.6, then how is it to get populated? I don't get any errors upon creating an order..??

Where/how does that field get populated?

Can this module be modified to send the subtotal of the order to the Insurance Option as a value?

Also, I see the option to set a default value for international orders, but is there anyway to just call it from the subtotal, like I'm requesting above, since the values are usually different?

    Great mod, thanks!
