    Default linkpoint-curl-pem errors

this is the error msg I receive when I try to test send an order:

    Step 2 of 3 - Payment Information
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are presently unable to contact the Credit Card company for authorization. Please contact the Store Owner for payment alternatives.

When setting up linkpoint on the Admin/Payment page it ask to drop in your pem. Do I open the pem file and copy the entire thing header and all in or do I have to cut and paste just the pem numbers. I have tried it both ways and still get the same error msg.

    I inserted curl at /includes/extra_datafiles/

I talked with my host and they opened port 1129.

Nothing seems to work. Any ideas anyone.

You need to upload the .pem file exactly as you downloaded it in the directory specified in the mod install instructions.

I didn't explain myself very well. I'm talking about when I go to:

HTTP://mysite/zencart/admin/index.php. On this screen I choose Modules, Payment
and Linkpoint is showing up waiting for my to install on the right hand side of the screen. In there, it ask for the PEM number. I just want to be sure I'm inserting it correctly. I opened the file xxxxxxx.pem and the file begans with ----------BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----then a bunch of mumbers. I copied this file and dropped it into the space where it ask for "INSERT LINKPOINT/YOUR PAY MERCHANT ID" Just wanted to be sure this was done correctly becuase I still can't connect to linkpoint.

When installing the linkpoint download, i did upload the pem exactly as it was in the download to /includes/modules/payment/linkpoint_api/xxxxx.pem

That's odd - the one that we have running doesn't ask for the PEM number there at all:

    Enable Linkpoint Module
    True

    Linkpoint/YourPay Merchant ID
    XXXXXXX

    LinkPoint Transaction Mode Response
    Live

    Authorization Type
    Immediate Charge

    Sort order of display.
    0

    Payment Zone
    --none--

    Set Order Status
    default

Is this a copy of your page? Where it ask for Linpoint/Yourpay Merchand ID is where the box is that says insert pem number.
I had this up and running fine on the old version of zencart and I don't remember it asking for this either. I think I'll just leave it out and see what happens

Your "PEM file number" would be the *number* ... not a file ... but ... a *number* ... like ... 123456 .... You may understand it more if it was called your Store ID number or your login account number.

Basically, another way of saying it is .... when you downloaded your .PEM file from LinkPoint and uploaded it to your server, what was the filename? Enter the number portion of the filename in the field you mention. That way when it goes looking for 123456.pem (ie: 123456 plus the .pem extension), it can find it.
