I completely agrees with all of you that find this mod to over coded and to complex and so on. But I'm sticking with it because it fits my needs and I don't have the time to do a complete rewrite. And the fact that I really like many of the functions in PHPlist.

As I've said before. I'm not trying to make a complete and fully transparent integration with PHPlist and Zen Cart. I just wanted a way to use PHPlist to send out newsletters.

Hi,

I have some problems with the installation of Newsletter Center in my website. When I try to subscribe in my ZenCart site, this error comes out.. Newsletter Center - Error: Preferences Access Denied. What seemed to be the problem?

Honestly Im at lost configuring this mod because there's not enough information on how to configure this.. like the instruction to modify the subscribe pages, unsubscribe etc. Is it in the Phplist installation? not in zencart?

Im using the modyourzencart version of newsletter center and its gone ok, apart from the email address not being written into the database, did anyone find out why this was? Methinks there was a mistyped GET or POST somewhere?

Hello, i was wondering how to safely remove newsletter center, i cannot get it to work to save myself so i am going to revert back to the old way, are there any files i should remove or replace, i dont want to touch anything just in case i mess it up

I know this thread is mostly dead but I thought I would put this out there in case someone has an answer.

When trying to unsubscribe, using Beez's latest 0.8.6 release, and I am on /index.php?main_page=newsletter_center&action=unsubscribe, there is a box asking for the Unique ID. This is the ID from phplist that is assigned to each unique user. But, where is the user supposed to get this from?

It would be better to select the unique id, or uid, from the phplist database and put it into a hidden field on the unsubscribe page.

Or am I missing something or done something wrong? It is only on this page that the unique id is required. On /index.php?main_page=newsletter_center&action=subscribe there is the ability to check the box for the newsletters to change the subscription status and I guess I can make the unsubscribe links point to that but it would be better to get the unsubscribe page working.

Anyone have any suggestions/fix for this?

Can anyone confirm this module functionality.
Because i try everything. use.txt and the others but thats apare to not function.
I configure the phplist i change the configuration files but nothing hapend.
If a newest version is available please post it.

I personally haven't gotten it to 100% work. It 95% works except for the unsubscribe problem I had in the post above yours. I had to move on to other projects and didn't implement this into the live site yet.

There is a way around the unsubscribe page limitation and that is by pointing your unsubscribe link to the subscribe page where they can un-check the box for the different newsletters they are subscribed to. It's clunky but works.

The other limitation is that it only registers with phplist when someone subscribes upon account creation or after they have created an account If you use the newsletter-only subscribe mod it won't be recognized and you will need to import those people manually into phplist. If you install the email address exporter mod it will make this faster, but you still have to manually do it which is less than optimal.

I implement the module newsletter center beta 0,86.
It's working if a user is loged in and he subbscribe for a newsletter.
The problem is that user dont receive any confirmation email for hes subscribe. I must manualy add this.
But if somebody whoo dont have account on my store the idreqest page return over and over.
"You are not allowed to edit or see the preferences of the email address, you entered. You must supply a valid unique id for this email in order to do so. If you lost your unique id, you can obtain it again here."
The doc. says can mace a newsletter submit event you dont have a account.
It is very hard to configure.
