    Default Stock control by Inventory

    Hello all!

Ok, so I'm back at it. I'm trying to find a way to control stock by attribute.

    For example:

    5 red trim bibs
    3 pink trim bibs
    6 blue trim bibs

If someone comes and purcahses 3 pink trim bibs then that option would reflect 'out of stock' but the others would still be able to be purchased. Of course it doesn't have to say 'out of stock' but the idea is to subtract from the 'available stock' by attribute.

Thank you in advance, I'm still digging the Wiki Docs to see if I can find an answer.

There is an add-on currently undergoing beta testing. This is what you will need when it becomes available. The announcement when it is available will be made in this thread. Might be worth subscribing to

I am now subscribed! Thanks for the heads up. I'll advise my client to list things separatly until it's released!

    Thank you again!

    Kuroi,

Have you ever completed this add-on?
My client currently needs to keep stock in this way:

She sells customised (hand painted) products, but she also sell the same product as an unpainted item. She did want me to have seperate categories for both the painted and unpainted items.

here is her store (still in development stage), that may make it clearer to what I mean.

Will your new add-on work in this situation where I am able to link certain products to use the same pool of stock?

    Many thanks,

    Goshawk

This exists and has done for a while, but it won't let you use the same pool of stock for several products as it requires that for each product for which it is used a stock figure be entered for each combination of attributes where the stock is not zero.
