    Copy Overrides from 1.2.7

Is there a problem copying my override directories from 1.2.7 to 1.3.5? I'm talking dirs like:

    includes/languages/custom_template
    includes/languages/english/custom_template, etc...

Have the default files like english.php, header.php changed so this is not possible and I would have to copy my edits into them??

And will this apply to the define pages I already created, or do they have to be re-done using the EZPages feature?

Your template will not copy either - as is posted all over the forums, any 1.2.x template MUST be re-coded to work with 1.3.x series zen.

Your define pages you can copy in their entirety.

    Hope that helps.

    Tina,

I'm talking about overrides to other parts of the site, like the header and footer.

I am aware that the css templates (stylesheets) have to be re-done within your custom template folder (which is my understanding)...but I'm trying to see if the directory override system can be ported...things like the header.php file for creating a custom header, etc.

Or am I missing the whole point together and all this in now under the template directory along with stylesheets, etc...

Take a look in your docs folder that came with the 1.3.5 distro for the change log
for 1.3.5. All changed files are listed there.

includes/languages/english.php was one that was changed. The define files
    in html_includes were not changed.

Hope that helps narrow down what you need to edit.

You'll want to look at the changelog up to the current version starting at 1.3.0 hun - a LOT has changed since 1.2.7 and I believe (I haven't done a 1.2.7 site for a month or 2 now ) that header.php was also one of the changes.

You are going to find that a LOT of 1.2.7 won't merge well due to new file names, new DataBase entries, and new constants.

Your best bet would be to do as the docs recommend and use winmerge to find all the changes after you have identified the files using the changelogs.
