If you're still having a problem, try checking the two configure.php files located in admin/includes/ and includes/. I bet you'll find a bad directory call in one of them.
That was the solution, I kept going back and back and looking but there still was one little pesky bad directory that was being overlooked.

Now I can move on to bigger and better failures, I mean life experances!
