New Products off -- except for message

I turned off all of the New Product switches (Admin, Index Listings) and that seems to work fine except for one message that comes up on a certain page "New Products for September."

It only comes up when I empty a shopping cart -- when the page refreshes it comes back with "Your shopping cart is empty" (which it should) and then below it prints "New Products for September." (which it shouldnt). Have I missed a switch somewhere?

On the Shopping Cart ... as of v1.3.5 you need to *gulp* touch the tpl_shopping_cart_default.php ...

Wonder if I will remember to fix that in the next release?

Thanks -- I did what had to be done and the message is gone... at least until I upgrade later.

Hi benjames,

In the tpl_shopping_cart_default.php file I removed 1 line near the end of the program (about line 181). The code was:

<?php require($template->get_template_dir('tpl_modules_whats_new.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'templates'). '/tpl_modules_whats_new.php'); ?>

It works fine.

FYI, for anyone else reading this thread, the current release 1.3.7 has the options for the empty cart under Configuration->Stock.

i went to config and stock then changed this to zero but it is not working : (
