New products - is there a way

Hi,

Is there a way that instead of adding new products on the first of the month and then only lasting til the end of the month can i add product constantly and not be cleared out at the end of the month because i am finding myself after the 2week intot he month just waiting until the following month to get the products up.. Because of this??

Just don't put any dates on products when you enter them in admin - then they'll last forever, but still show up in 'New Products'.

And you can add more products to the database whenever you want - you don't have to wait until the 1st of the month.

New Products are managed based on products_date_added in the products table

At this time this is handled internally ...

You can, however, alter these manually via phpMyAdmin ...

We will be looking into this further for a future release ...

I want to be able to add products all month and they disappear 30 days after they are uploaded not based on a month... Whats the sense is uploading new products on the 29th of the month when a day or 2 later they wont appear in the new products section....

Perhaps the 30 days is better than the Current Month setting in the Configuration ... Maximum Values ...:

New Product Listing - Limited to ...
Limit the New Product Listing to
0= All Products
1= Current Month
7= 7 Days
14= 14 Days
30= 30 Days
60= 60 Days
90= 90 Days
120= 120 Days

Note: Be sure to apply the bugfix for v1.3.5 for New Products dates ...
