Default Help please? Warning to patch DB...

    Hi all:

I upgraded to the newest release. All is working fine except I get a warning:

"Your database appears to need patching to a higher level. See Admin->Tools->Server Information to review patch levels."

Problem is, when I try to upgrade that LAST level from 1.3.0.1 to 1.3.0.2 , I get this error:

1062 Duplicate entry 'Administrator' for key 2
    in:
    [INSERT INTO query_builder ( query_category , query_name , query_description , query_string ) VALUES ('email,newsletters', 'Administrator', 'Just the email account of the current administrator', 'select \'ADMIN\' as customers_firstname, admin_name as customers_lastname, admin_email as customers_email_address from TABLE_ADMIN where admin_id = $SESSION:admin_id');]

I am pretty new to this, so I am not sure what to do at this point.

Any suggestions would be great. Happy to pay someone if needed.

    Regards,

    James

Hi, this has been covered loads of times before; there's a handy search feature in the forum. For example, click this and you will find this which says this

Ahhh, you have to love English witt, erm, sarcasm. Thnaks, even though you were rude about the "search" feature. Sorry I am not as intelligent as you.

This is caused by re-running the upgrade a second time.

To work around it, edit the /zc_install/mysql_upgrade_1301_to_1302.sql file
    find the line that says
and change the first word "INSERT" to "REPLACE".

Then re-upload the file and rerun the upgrade.

You could also change "INSERT" to "#INSERT" (just add the # in front of it, to skip that line altogether)
Is that the same error? Yes or no?
Did I reply promptly to your post?
Have you done what the post said?
    Has it resolved your problem?
Do you think being rude to people helping you is going to do you any favours?

Starting out your willingness to help by also attacking me, making fun of me, or whatever the heck you call it is neither professional nor deserving of praise. Just because you walk up to a person on the street in need and throw a Pound coin in his cup doesn’t also entitle you to an opportunity to belittle him. So, step off the tower mate and look at the view from here. I am ALWAYS grateful to both help and obtain assistance but not at the expense of integrity. Your obvious ability to understand Zen or how to search on a site doesn't give you the right to treat people poorly. If that doesn't get me any "favours" fine. I can live with that. Other than that, the information was good but, I am sad to say, has not yet worked. I am still playing with it.

I give up with you - I explained that this had been covered before. Should I not have done this? Should I not have told you about the search feature?
Should I not have found the post and linked directly to it, for you? In what possible way could my original reply have possibly been interpreted as an "attack" on you?
    Does anyone else see that?

Up until now, I've tried to remain polite and keep personality out of it, but you've clearly got some issues, please try not to bring them to this part of the forum (the pub's the place for that).

Again, I think you prove my point.

By “telling” me about the search feature in the manner you did, you intimated that I was less intelligent than you. If you had not perceived my post as an opportunity for you to point out a perceived faux pas, why did you not simply say something more congenial?

    You might have said:

“I found a link to a subject that seems to be directly related to your post; perhaps this will help you out. Have a great day.”

The reality is that, though you “helped” me, you didn’t do it with a smile—you did it with a measure of arrogance. The English language is pretty easy to understand, even for someone like me who obviously committed the cardinal sin of posting something that had been judiciously covered in previous posts.

I would challenge you to take a look at your own behavior. I have no emotions involved in this post on my part, and no issues—other than when people sit behind their computer screen and throw rocks without fear of consequences, it tends to annoy me. It is rare, but you have been a decent example of that.

And, I happen to know Berks well; pick the pub.

If I did, though, it would have to be "The Turks" - anyone who can do their own version of Kersal Massive has to be worth a visit!

It's okay Chris, I am sure we could find a good glass to put down; plenty of pubs in the area... and from what I can tell of your photos, you could use a drink. Too much time behind the PC man and you forget what the real world is like. ;-)
