Should I not have found the post and linked directly to it, for you? In what possible way could my original reply have possibly been interpreted as an "attack" on you?
Does anyone else see that?

Up until now, I've tried to remain polite and keep personality out of it, but you've clearly got some issues, please try not to bring them to this part of the forum (the pub's the place for that).
Again, I think you prove my point.

By “telling” me about the search feature in the manner you did, you intimated that I was less intelligent than you. If you had not perceived my post as an opportunity for you to point out a perceived faux pas, why did you not simply say something more congenial?

You might have said:

“I found a link to a subject that seems to be directly related to your post; perhaps this will help you out. Have a great day.”

The reality is that, though you “helped” me, you didn’t do it with a smile—you did it with a measure of arrogance. The English language is pretty easy to understand, even for someone like me who obviously committed the cardinal sin of posting something that had been judiciously covered in previous posts.

I would challenge you to take a look at your own behavior. I have no emotions involved in this post on my part, and no issues—other than when people sit behind their computer screen and throw rocks without fear of consequences, it tends to annoy me. It is rare, but you have been a decent example of that.

And, I happen to know Berks well; pick the pub.
