The counters in Zen admin, how the heck do I read them? There are 2 sets of numbers that constantly change and I have no idea if one if page hits, page counts, etc..

My site is very new, so I'm trying to accurately track my visitors..

The first number is number of sessions (first hits) to the site that day ...

The second number is the number of pages viewed that day ...

And, also, is the "Hit Counter" in the upper left corner the total amount of hits to the site since the "Hit Counter Started" date? Is there a way to change the start date?

You can manually edit the counter tables ...

counter holds just the data and total count to date

counter_history is recording based on date the counter for the day and the session counter ...

NOTE: the general counter can be updated from the Tools ... Store Manager ...

However, this only updates the count not the date ...

Try it ... go to the Admin home page ... look at the count ...

Click 6 pages in the admin ...

Go to the Admin Home page ...

Did it change?
