How do you change it so the your zen cart looks in a different folder than Download for your downloadable attributes? Please let me know exactly how to change it, which script and such.

what is wrong with the current download folder??
There are validation rules on this folder so that files there can not be linked to directly.Zen-Venom Get Bitten

Since version 1.3.0, the 2 configure.php files have references to '.....downloads' folders.
Change as necessary. Be sure to be consistent..
