Default Your Shopping Cart Contents Page

Above the items in the shopping cart I get this message "You may want to add some instructions for using the shopping cart here. (defined in includes/languages/english/shopping_cart.php)" and for the life of me I cant figure out where to edit this at. I an sure I am over looking something, I looked under the TOOLS - Define Pages Editor but dont find anything. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

It's telling you exactly what file to edit.... right there....

    includes/languages/english/shopping_cart.php

    it isn't in /html_includes

which means it isn't in define pages editor.

I am very new to this, I see what it said but how do I get there? What I did find was going thru the FTP stuff but was unable to open it. I am sure it is simple for someone that understands and has done all this but unfortunatly I had to start at the begining and learn this myself.

I had this problem and then I spend a long time trying to get the answer. My problem was the same, I could not figure out where to edit this. I had a person do most of the website work for me, so I only work from Zen cart. The answer to this problem and I am sure someone else is in the same boat as I was... is to log into your control panel from your host, go into file manager and click until you get to

    "includes/languages/english/shopping_cart.php"

    Edit away!

    hionhelis & Paradigm81,

One can use the cpanel editor, if they have cpanel...it has bee reported that this editor at times adds unwanted things to files and there is a recommendation to not using it.

Get a FTP client, Filezilla is reported to be solid and free, and a code editor, Crimson Editor also has a following and free.

FTP the file to be edited to your PC, open it & edit it, save and FTP back to your host, preferably to your override folder that you might have to create.

    hionhelis & Paradigm81,

You would be well served to ftp your files off your server back to your own PC as a backup. This will not only give you the security of having your own copy of the files (in case your Web guy flakes out, server crashes or whatever), but it will also give you an opportunity to tinker with the code and see how you can make small changes like this easily yourself.

    Good luck,
