Thaniks Dr. Byte...
I have a two language cart and I entered the prefecture names in the Zones area of the Admin in Japanese, 47 in all, so that the names appear in the State Dropdown menu when customers are making a new account.
I then checked out how they looked and realized I needed to add them in English for the English side, which I did (another 47!) but then found the pulldown menu to be populated with BOTH E and J versions, not very nice looking and when in the English side the Japanese is of course unreadable. (Of course, I had added the Japanese names when logged into the Admin on the J side and visa versa for the E side...)
So I deleted the English set of 47... (I tell ya, 47 does not sound like many but it is quite an effort!) and then as a temporary fix, I re-edited the 47 Japanese names, this time putting the English name, a hyphen, then the Japanese name... Not elegant, but it works...
How do I make the English ones appear when on the E side and only the Japanese ones to appear when on the J side...
What do people do that have 5 or 6 language carts? I know I must be missing something...
Can anyone please suggest what I might do?
There is no multi-language support for zone-names at the present time.

Thanks Dr. Byte...
I will log a feature request for it...
I am sure I am not the only one who would like this feature now that the state dropdown menu feature has become standard in the sign up window...
You "can" disable that ... Admin->Configuration->Customer DetailsOriginally Posted by Peace Freak

Have tried disabling it, but when disabled, for some reason, it is not possible to create new accounts... It asks for the state but when typed in, does not accept it. I read that others had the same problem and could not find a fix...
Anyway, i hope there is a solution out there that might work!
Thanks as always!
