Graphics as a cat separator

Is there a way to display graphics in the categories separator instead of using this |_ 

I was kinda looking for something like here in the categories and sub categories

BetterCategories and Categories Dressing both feature the ability to use custom list marker icons.

BetterCategories comes stock with a complete style for the categories and other sideboxes, which is great if you like that particular style.

Categories Dressing provides a lot of tools to give your own style to the categories sidebox only, as well as custom functions like static headings or subtext wherever you want them.

You would need to turn off the standard separator in admin > Configuration > Layout Settings (set it to nothing).
