background color + logo

I have a gremlin. I think I am in need of a second pair of eyes and a functional brain to offset my scrambled one. Ok, I'm experimenting and trying to learn stuff but I am getting myself in a knot lol I have been trying all day to solve my two lil problems that should be so easy. 1) I have changed my background color to white in the stylesheet and uploaded.......no good. I can change the blue to white in FF. I think something is over-riding it but cant see what. 2) I cant change the height of my logo I have changed it in headings.php....I've changed english.php and even had a go in admin ARGGGGH nothing worked. I have searched and read all day, trying all the different answers.

well your background color isnt set to #FFFFFF (white) its set to #CFDFF9(blue)

and this:

  height:115px;

  }

is your logo is it supposed to be that short?


All of this is in your stylesheet.css

also are you uploading this to your overides folder? or whichever folder your template is set to.

Thats the problem though.....I have changed it in my stylesheet back to white and uploaded it a million times today. It wont change the background color. It will change anything else but not the color.

No my logo is not meant to be that short. There is suppose to be more of it lol

I use over-rides, yes.

url(../images/fbiheading.jpg); doesnt even exist anymore in the stylesheet on this end.

are you SURE your uploading to the right place? i only ask because that is NOT what is showing up.


you might try totally deleting your stylesheet, or naming it to stylesheet.css.old and THEN upload your edited one.

I've made more of a mess now but at least I got my background white hahahah I will have to go in and redo my stylesheet. Thank you for your help as for some reason the stylesheet that I had open wasnt connecting properly so I closed it down and brought the stylesheet from the site across and started afresh.
