Using Free Shipping and Charging for some items

I offer Free Shipping on nearly all items in my store. So I always check the Yes, Always Free Shipping in the product screen in Admin.

I want to sell some cheap items where I want a fixed charge for their purchase. So however many they order it's alway's 2.54. How do I set that up?? I have the Free Shipping Options and FREE SHIPPING modules installed at the moment.

Turn on the Shipping Module Flat ... and set to 2.54

Free Shipping freeshipper only shows when all of the shipping is free and Flat will vanish ...

Free Shipping Options freeoptions shows when the order meets the criteria you have set but, this too will vanish when all of the shipping is Free based on the Always Free Shipping ...

Flat will only show when one of your products is in the cart that is not marked Always Free Shipping ...

This will allow a maximum charge of $2.54 regardless of how many Products are ordered ...

If you need a charge of $2.54 per Product ordered but not Per Quantity Per Product, then you will need to customize a shipping module to charge based on number of Products vs number of items (qty of each Product) ...

I've enabled it and set the shipping cost to my amount, in the product I selected Normal, shipping rules apply setting instead of Free Shipping.

Here's a screen dump, it's not working at all. I get free shipping on order over £0.00 on everything.

Do your Products have weight?

In the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... what setting do you have for:

Order Free Shipping 0 Weight Status
If there is no weight to the order, does the order have Free Shipping?
0= no
1= yes

If you have 0 weight and that is not free shipping then set that to 0 or No

I've been reading loads of poasts and found that setting. I ran an SQL update to make all products_weight set to 0. Then in the Config I set the 0 weight = Free Shipping to 1 = Yes. So any products with 0 weight are free shipping.

I then set the product I want to charge with a weight of 1.

Could you peek in the Modules ... Order Totals .... Shipping ...

Do you have the Free Shipping on orders over XX turned on and perhaps set to something like 0.00
