    AUSPOST Error

    Hi All

    A potential customer just emailed me (great when they just dont give up) and let me know the Auspost shipping options were returning an error at checkout.

    I have been through the process myself with my test account so I no it was working.

    ANyone else having problems? I notied that o 4th September 2006 AusPost did some new pricing on their online calculator, maybe they changed something?

    Hi Adrian

    I've sent you an email about this.
    Ausweb have made some security changes that have broken the AusPost module.

    Let's be more specific about this.

    Line 81 of the AusPost Module tries to execute this code:
    Code:
    $url = http://drc.edeliver.com.au/ratecalc.asp?Pickup_Postcode=$frompcode&Destination_Postcode=$topcode&Country=AU&Weight=$sweight&Service_Type=STANDARD&Height=$sheight&Width=$swidth&Length=$slength&Quantity=$shipping_num_boxes";
    $myfile = file($url);
    and produces this error:
    Code:
    [Tue Sep 5 20:09:03 2006] [error] PHP Warning: file(): URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /includes/modules/shipping/auspost.php on line 81
    Why?
    Because AusWeb have set:
    Code:
    allow_url_fopen = off
    Real nice of them. Anyway the question to all you PHP gurus is:

    Is there another way we can make this reference to drc.edeliver.com.au without file() ? ie: can anyone think of a workaround?

    regards,
    Reuben
