Maximum Gift Certificate Amount

Hello everyone. I am really in problem with GC amounts. As it seems, there is a maximum GC amount which doesn't let you send gc's more than 10,000 and any amount given more than that, appears as 10,000 . Ofcourse more than $10,000 is a little bit strange gift but as I use another currency, this amount means nothing. So I would like to ask if there is a maximum gc amount and if there is a way to modify it. I hope some one could help me.

The settings on the tables coupon coupon_customer_gv and coupon_gv_queue for the amount is decimal(8,4) ...

These limitations could be causing you issues ...

I changed the values (8,4) but nothing solved. could you please check it yourself and let me know if you come with a conclusion?

In the Admin Tools ... Insert SQL Patch ... run this:

ALTER TABLE coupons CHANGE coupon_minimum_order coupon_minimum_order DECIMAL( 15, 4 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0.0000';
ALTER TABLE coupon_gv_customer CHANGE amount amount DECIMAL( 15, 4 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0.0000';
ALTER TABLE coupon_gv_queue CHANGE amount amount DECIMAL( 15, 4 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0.0000';

Tried what you said (changed both values to (15,4) ). But still not working for more than 10,000 .
I really hope we find a way soon. If anyone finds a solution, let us know.

What are your currency settings?

I use IRR (Iranian Rials) as my default currency and below you can see a screenshot which shows the settings.

I tested this on mine and sent a GV for 100,000.00 and that is working great ...

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

Clean install or an upgrade? If an upgrade from what version to what version and how did you upgrade your site?

I'm using version 1.3.5 and it is a clean install. The problem is surely with the currency. specially after I updated currency rates. before updating, I used to calculate amount with $ and assign them in $ but the amount would appear in default currency (IRR). But after update, any amount assigned, appeared in IRR. so I had to assign the exact IRR amount which exceeded 10,000 and then the problem occured.
