Still very confused about what files to edit...

Hi,

I am fairly web savy, and have a decent knowledge of HTML and web-site building. But I am truely at a loss with Zen-Cart.

Were do I start to edit files. There are lots of folders that seem to contain similar files.
To make a long sob story short.
I am trying to sell clothes online.
I love this site (which is using zen-cart).
And I almost just want to cop their layout and insert my own graphics.

Were do I start?

I can't find the header to change the navigation.
I can't find the file to change for the center column.
Nor can I find the footer

I have created a template directory, but it is empty. What files do I copy in there to start tweaking?

You'll find 30+ pre-defined templates.

Hi,

I am making some headway.
How do I deactive Optional catagories.
I am looking at the HTML code, that reads.
<!--bof-optional categories tabs navigation display-->
....

I want to move those catagories to the sidebar eventually, but for now they are adding extra padding to my layout.

Well good Luck!!! This is not html it is server side and as such the html is assembled from many files at the server and the result is passed to the client machine.

Check the FAQ's ^^ above and find "Top Ten" and also the wiki farther up in the nav bar. These should get you started and you will begin to see the light...
