Mail Gift Certificate Error!

When I click on 'Mail Gift Certificate' from the 'Gift Certificate / Coupons' menu in admin I receive the following error message.

1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'as s left join zen_customers as c on c.customers_id = s.customers_id' at line 1
in:
[select c.customers_firstname, c.customers_lastname, s.email_address as customers_email_address from as s left join zen_customers as c on c.customers_id = s.customers_id ]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

I've seen that other people have had similar issues here, but there has been no solution, yet.

A bit of background info... Fresh install of ZenCart 1.3.0.2 then upgraded to 1.3.5.

I've already checked my audience.php file (as mentioned above) and it is identical to the 1.3.5 version.

Is there an easy way to fix this? Thanks.

did you upgrade the database?
did you compair your master/backup copy of that file to the new file currently live on your site?

you may want to go through the update process instructions and see what you may have missed..

Check to make sure that you dont have any old modual/contib changes in your fileset or database. and again check to make sure that your currently installed contribs dont have any effect on gift certs.

DOUBLE CHECK everything....

if all else fails run a clean install of the current version, and migrate changes/additions to your new cart... i use to try updates, but nothing ever goes perfect, so its best to just learn how to 'customize' zc when needed...

Thanks for the reply. It actually made me think that this could be a database error.

When upgrading my cart I installed a fresh copy of 1.3.5 and imported my code changes from 1.3.0.2. I then ran zc_install and updated the database.

But I remember installing the Newsletter Subscribe contribution a while back. I removed this as it was no longer required, but I'm guessing it left something in the database (that I forgot to remove).

I'll double check my database later and post back.

Ok, I found that I had some old custom queries in the query_builder table. Deleted these and all works fine! :)
