Newbie Looking For Zen Advice

Hello, I am new here and to Zen Cart. I have been an OSC user for the last year and am kind of annoyed with trying to get help and getting things working properly. I am going to be selling strictly downloadable goods on my site, and I currently have a merchant account with Cardservices Int. running LinkPoint Central. Wanted to check in here to see first off, if anyone has a site selling dowloadable goods and was it easy to set up. Second, does anyone utilize LinkPoint for a payment gateway and was that painless to set up? Any advice or warnings about this cart program is appreciated.

While LinkPoint is not native to the distribution, the ZenCart Devs has a module for this payment type.
You can find it here: LinkPoint Module
This is probably not a particular concern if you are using it currently but, cURL is required, and port 1129 must be open for bidirectional communication on your host.
You also need an SSL certificate on your site if you are collecting credit card information, which you probably already know.

The only thing you may find a nuisance considering you are only selling downloadable items is that at present, ZenCart does not allow any transactions without an account being generated.

I say "at present" because that may change in the future, but there's no timescale on it ... and that has been debated many times over!
