    payment errors

I have attempted to install plain CC processing and the authorizenet processing, but I continue to get the errors simular to this:
"The credit card number starting with 4111 was not entered correctly, or we do not accept that kind of card. Please try again or use another credit card.[cc]"

Paypal is working fine, but plain CC processing and/or the authorizenet are what we want. authorizenet states that the problem is in the code. Any suggestions?

In Admin->Configuration->Credit Cards, which cards do you have enabled?

No cards are enabled right now. I installed Paypal - No problem, but this has it's own issues and we deleted it. Then got an Authorize.net account and installed it with the proper keys and all, but is continues to provide the error. Same with the plain CC processing.

We have not system installed at this time

    That's your problem.

Zen Cart evaluates the credit card numbers you enter to see if they match the settings you have enabled in the Admin->Config->Credit Cards settings.
So, if you enter a MasterCard number, but have MasterCard turned off, then it will tell the customer "we don't accept that kind of card".
It doesn't matter which credit card gateway you have installed ... the same processing will reject disabled card-types before even sending to the merchant gateway.

So ... review your Authorize.net merchant account settings. Find out what credit card types you are allowed to process. Then turn those on in Zen Cart. Then enable your Authorize.net module in Zen Cart. And disable the basic Credit Card module.

Thank you - I never saw that over there under configuration, just kept focusing on the payment module.

Admin->Configuration->Credit Cards ... choose which ones you want to accept, and which ones you want to deny.
