Sorry guys, anyone can tell me what does this means?

Counter History for last 10 recorded days
Session - Total
29 - 112


What is the "Session" and the "Total" means??

The counter counts two things:

Session count is the number of 1st hits to your site based on unique browser sessions ... more or less this is 1st visit of the day

NOTE: this does not distinquish between someone coming to your site at 9:00am and then returning with a new session at 3:00pm on the same day

The Total is the number of pages viewed ... this counts how many pages does the customer actually go to during that session ...

The database actually contains all the days of the year, unless you delete them manually ...

The display on the Admin Home page will be for the last 10 days ... it will roll over by itself as the site is used ...

Looking at my stats for today (sharp spike in hits with below average sessions), I assume this includes search engine spider activity?

If so, is there anyway to configure the counter to ignore these sessions? And maybe selected IP addresses/ranges?

Bit of an odd one this. The counter in my admin system has started writing 10 duplicates of each session for no reason at all:

Very odd ...

Look at your database in phpMyAdmin at the table: counter_history

Browse it ... do you see duplicates in there?

Count you check if there is a Primary index on the startdate field in the counter_history table ...

Zen Cart Version : Current

I have the same 1969 problem with counter history (No records in table at all) could this have happened when old log files we dumped?
Counter_history does not have a start date field.
counter table does

Any Ideas on who to fix this started 3 weeks ago was working fine for last 7 months.
