Dummy guite to Metatags....

Basically, what are metatags and how on earth do I use them?!!?!
When I click on 'metatags undefined' it gives me 3 boxes (Title, Keywords and Description).... What on earth do I put in there?! Do I need to write in somekind of special code???

Meta tags are used by search engines to help catalog and display your pages. Keyword are words that tell search engines what the content of the page is, and "description" is a plain text summary of what the page contains. Not all search engines use all these meta tags and you don't absolutely need to modify them, but I think it is a good idea to have them as they help tailor your pages to your preferred specifications.

If you were selling cards, in the title field you might put:

V-8 Powered Cars

In the keyword section you'd put:

cars, autos, vehicles, V-8, Honda, Ford, Dodge, Chevy, Toyota

In the Description you'd put:

We sell V-8 automobiles in a variety of models from the world's most popular auto makers.
