Sale on entire category ?

Hi !

I have experimented a little bit with discounts but there is one thing I can't figure out...

If I have an entire category that I want to give let's say 20% off, is Salemaker the way to go ? If I do it this way, it won't show in "Monthly Specials" on main page. But if I go through "Price manager" it shows in "Monthly Specials" but I have to give 20% to each product, I can't give 20% to the entire category, am I right or is there a way that I missed ?

Sales are not Specials ...

At this time there is not a page or centerbox or sidebox to display Sales via Sale Maker ...

SaleMaker is the fastest way to place a Category of Products on Sale ...

Just to be 100% clear, there are no way to give all products in one category 30% discount without using Salemaker ?

Correct. Unless you want to manually set each product on special one at a time.

well, unless you want to setup a coupon which is regulated to the catagory that you want to have on sale. then issue that coupon to your customers, via email, or do like we do, and paste the code somewhere for them to find it, and use.

other than that, you've got a good handle on it...

if you add things to the category after you have given it 30% off do the new items automatically go 30% off? I would think so.. but just to ask...

Yes as you add a new product if the Category is on sale via SaleMaker the Products will be automatically go on sale ...
