CSS challenge: Removing Visited but retaining Active link colour attribute?

    Hi,

Hope someone can help. I'm upgrading to 1.3.5 and am starting all over again.

I can't seem to get the links to behave how I would like them to - I don't want to use the 'visited' option, so i have it set to the same colour as the normal text (grey).

However, I have a different colour (orange) set for 'Active' (i.e. when I click on the link), however I'd like it to remain that colour while I'm on the page. Once I navigate away, I'd like it to change back to normal (grey).

Currently of course, it changes to the 'Visited' colour once the mouse is released. In my case, that's normal (grey).

Any ideas, anyone? I'm not a CSS wiz.

    Thanks in advance.

    - Mark

This isn't a bump, it just struck me that it might not be obvious what I'm trying to explain here! :)

For an example of how I'd like it to work, I found this website...

    www.hivemodern.com

Notice how the active category link stays green and then goes back to grey when not active. I think it looks great. If only I could work it out...!

    Thanks again!

You were quick to post another site, but a url to your site would have netted you a more precise response,,,

Their is a default color that will display if no color is defined. try removing the defined color from one of your definitions to see the default.

Adjust the default color to the gray that you want and remove the color definition for the ones that you want to be gray
