Securing Image folder doesn't work right...

I know I'm doing something wrong, could anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm going through the security checklist. So I had the images folder at 777, but when I switch it to 644, I get this error message:

Warning: is_dir(): Stat failed for images/. (errno=13 - Permission denied) in /home/httpd/vhosts/milastyle.com/httpdocs/includes/modules/additional_images.php on line 43

What should I do?

errno=13 - Permission denied

You went to tight on the security if I read the error correctly. Change to 666 and see if you still get the error.

Oh, just saw "On Linux/Unix hosts, often permission-setting recommendations for basic security are:
• folders/directories: 755
• files: 644"

It does work on 755, I guess is it ok to leave it that way?
