I Need Help with _MED & _LRG

Hi

I am trying to reduce the time my site takes to load on to customer's browsers, it's pretty slow due to images sizes at the moment.

I have given each image an additional copy with the suffixes _MED.jpg and _LRG.jpg and ftp'd them to the "medium" and "large" directories. I thought that would give me a thumbnail size for the product listing, a medium size for the product info and a large image for the "click to enlarge". I have also resized the images accordingly.

Strange things are happening; either no images show on the product info page, but I get a link to the "click to enlarge" window which when clicked shows the file name. Or it looks like it wants to add the additional 2 images at the bottom of the info page, but displays no image just the link to the click to enlarge...

What am I doing wrong??? Or am I asking for something that isn't possible????

This is driving me insane. Any help would be very much appreciated.

OK...after fiddling around a bit - I have set the additional images to "0". That's cured the problem of it trying to put more images on the product info page - I don't need those anyway.

BUT, it's still not showing ANY image on the product info page althought there is a link to "click to enlarge" which, when clicked, shows the larger window with the text "click to close window" and NO image.

When I click on "properties" where the images should be to see the file path and file name, it is showing that the correct images (ie _MED and _LRG) are in the right places...if that makes sense.

So basically, why aren't the images showing and how do I get them back?

I'VE JUST ANSWERED MY OWN QUESTION..!!!!!!

The file permissions were incorrect, now I've set them properly everything is working perfectly.

So just ignore me...I'll be crawling back into my cave now....
