Updating Orders before processing(?)

I have what seems to be a simple problem but I am new with zencart and so I thought I would see if anyone out here has worked out a solution already. So here goes...

I manage an online shop that sells hand made and hand cut salamis and cheeses, much like a traditional italian deli. When a customer orders a product, they will buy something like 1 pound of salami. When it comes time to process the order, the salami is hand cut, so it could be .9 pounds or 1.2 pounds, etc... Now, we need a way to go into the order on the admin side and adjust the prices and weights of the products to reflect actual weights so the price and shipping are reflected accurately.

One thing that I have thought of is to create products that are disabled (so they aren't visible to customers) that reflect something like .1 pound increments of weight. The only problem with this is that I can't find a way to go into an order and ADD a product. I can remove products from orders fine, but can we add them?

how do you remove products from your order? and adjust the total?

I think what wickedklown is saying are two things:
1. search for answers before you ask a question. This issue is being discussed in many threads
2. To do what you want to do you will need to install an extension eg Superorders

Actually, I have super orders 2 installed. Super orders does not allow for modification of the actual order (should it? does this mean that it isn't installed correctly? I haven't seen mention of it being able to do this in the documentation...). It does allow for deletion and/or splitting of an order or a part of an order. It also allows for some adjustment of the final price. What we *want* it to do (And I know that it isn't always possible to get what we want out of things... :wink2: ) is to let us *add* a product to an order or modify the attributes of a product within an order. So far I have searched the threads (maybe I am not searching in the right place...) and haven't really found any threads that deal with this. sorry if I seem to be posting something that is covered elsewhere, but if it is can someone please direct me to the right spot?
