setting up additional images

I've done a little research, and have even found threads on this forum... but the real question is, is there a way to set this up so that someone who doesn't have any graphics or ftp programs to manage? I installed the image_handler, but a) I don't see how I can upload additional product images with it and I certainly can't from the new product page and b) I don't see how the program will know to include these images. My image directory is so messy that I don't even know what in the hell is going on in there... and I just did a clean install too.

This seems like it would be a very popular feature. I am shocked that I can't find any kind of mods or overwrites or whatnot that handles all of this on the front end. Isn't the point of HAVING zencart so that you don't have to ######## around in ftp and so-on?

I'm really frustrated because I have an ornry client here that WANTS multiple images ASAP, and I need it EASY! Any help is definitely appreciated.

Hmmm, apparently I cannot edit my post... anyway, I figured it out, and here's how you do it:

You're going to need this:
http://breakmyzencart.com/image-handler

and this:
http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=241

Name your files like this:

main image:
filename.jpg

additional photos, sorted by order:
filename1.jpg
filename2.jpg
filename3.jpg
etc

Then, when adding a product, upload all of the additional photos first. Just keep changing the product photo for the listing. After you're done with your additional photos, upload your main image, and you're done. Check out your product page!

I realize FTP is a lot faster, but if you're making this site for someone who doesn't know anything about websites and doesn't want/is too difficult to learn FTP, this works.

Tools>image handler
Then you should pick the product that you want to add images to.
The default images sm, md, lrg should be showing and to the right of that is a box that says "Click to add a new image to this product"

clever never thought of loading images in reverse like that....gotta write that down.

Duh, I wonder how I managed to miss that bit. I'll try that out too and see how it works!
