can Zencart do what i want??

Hi all,

Ive got a big favour to ask of you all again. Im wondering if i am able to use Zencart to give me the website im looking to create.
Im thinking of using Zencart to replace our current business website. Im fairly familiar with Zencart as ive already built a few sites and im impressed with the functionality from an e-commerce point of view. But im wondering if it will also work aswell as just a general information website.

Our website is currently www.lister-petter.co.uk and with the progression of how the internet is used for trading we need to incorporate an ecommerce side to it. I must admit that our website is a bit of a disapointment and really needs regenerating. We need to be able to fully customize the 'Add Product' page to allow for alot more options, but the biggest thing we need is the ability to have the website as purely that, a website with no functionality until the user logs in. thats when i know that Zencart will deliver.

I want to have all the functionality, layout controls, language controls that Zencart uses so well, but none of the ecommerce, until the user has registered and logged in. How flexible is Zencart to be able to do this??

Any help or suggestions on this would be greatly apreciated.
