    Default Really slow site

sad to say yes this is on godaddy and on a shared server.
but they did mention database indexing. inferring that the database was not indexed.
Question A) how do I check to see if it is indexed
    B) how do I index it?

attributes are not used and there are less than 100 products

    the site is http://www.french-used-saddles.com

Doesn't sound like your host is open to moving your to a less crowded server. Perhaps a change to a Certified Host would be prudent?

I want to give them a chance... 7 days to move it. If that is the major problem.

If I move one site I will move them all and doing that twice in a quarter sounds like a lot of work

I have the same slow issues with godaddy... we have moved servers, redirected pointers, upgraded the cp (hell if i know why that would make a diffrence) for them and yet... im still slow most the time.

id move servers but i was told outright that if i moved for any reason other than they couldnt provide for my needs (and apperently they get to decide that token of crap) they would tie up my domain name, and we would not get a refund on anything we have bought and not used (like server time prepaid and ssl unused).

and yet.. we may still move servers...

good luck with whatever you decide.

Go daddy is a great company to deal with. However they ARE NOT Zen-Cart friendly..........grrrr

We spent months toying with things with no luck. Talked with their tech-support many times. After getting disgusted we switched to a very good host.

Still use Go-Daddy to manage our domain names and have a message board hosted there, but will never use them for zen-cart again.

Needless to say site is faster than ever and we are happier tahn ever. If you would like to know who we went with please send a PM and I will reply.

You all please let me know where you switched to.

I called GoDaddy and talked to them about the thousands of us zencart users all having the same problem yet when we each go to a different host/server, it clears up the problem.

He was nice and told me to try something first. If it doesn't work, he'll give me a FULL refund, we're only talking $2.99. He set me up with a Dedicated IP. He's curious if that will help speed things up some. He wants me to let him know either way so that they will know what to do with zencart users.

He said that he would switch me to another one of their servers but it still may not fix the problem. He said he didn't want to say it was zencart because he's not familiar with it enough to know for sure.

So, I will let you know if this works. You all may already know it wont/will. Either way, I did tell him that everyone pretty much is happy with godaddy except for that and if they could find a solution, we'd all be happy. = )
